Gravity: The Story of the Breast that Needed a Lift
By far the biggest misconception in patients seeking breast augmentation surgery is whether a breast lift is also needed. I have been trying to explain and clarify this point kindly, medically, visually with pictures and videos. But I still get the same disappointed look when I tell patients that implants will not raise the breast, nor will they create eternal fullness on the top part of the chest. I am a big John Mayer fan so as I was listening to his song "Gravity" one day I thought I should try to get this point across in song.

Weight Reduction Surgery
The most popular New Year's resolution is dieting. So I asked one of my friends and colleagues Dr. Carlos Juarez to fill me in on the newest information on surgical management of obesity. Bariatric surgery is one of the most common surgical procedures performed by general surgeons in the US. Dr. Juarez is one of the leading Bariatric Surgeons in Fresno whose practice is essentially dedicated to surgical weight management.

Plastic Surgery is Not a Purse Party
It is hard to believe the holiday season is here already!
Fortunately, I can say we were as busy as ever. On the professional front I was the secondary surgeon or secondary consultation for a significant number of patients this year. That is what prompted me to write this article.
It started a few years ago when I removed a set of chronically infected implants from a woman whose surgery was done in Mexico. On her left side the implant was actually not an implant but a "sizer" (a non-sterile implant I use in the office to put in the patient's bra when we are deciding on an implant size).
