| Permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is the modern application of the age-old art of tattooing. Color is etched into the skin using sterile disposable needles to permanently deposit pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Medical strength topical and local anesthetics are used to insure patient comfort.
Permanent makeup has quickly become one of the most popular non-surgical beauty enhancement procedures for women. It is the “icing on the cake” of cosmetic procedures. The colors used are designed to blend with a woman's skin tones and undertones for a natural look. The result is long lasting waterproof color that remains fresh and beautiful through the most strenuous activities.
Eyebrows
The permanent application of color in the brow area mimics the appearance of hair in the brow line. Custom blended colors are implanted by hand to correct an imperfect shape and improve the appearance of hair density. The shape is designed for each individual based on bone structure for a soft and natural look. Anyone who desires a more natural fullness of the brow will love the look and convenience of this procedure. Throw away those eyebrow pencils and go swimming, exercise, play tennis and wipe your forehead without the embarrassment of losing your eyebrows. Those who suffer from alopecia (a health condition in which hair is lost from some or all areas of the body) are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks.
Beautifully designed brows implanted with color and professionally maintained by our medical aesthetician, Deborah Kahl, insures a perfectly groomed look.
Eyeliner
Are your eyes your best feature? With permanent eyeliner they will be! Enhance and define the shape of the eye with this remarkable procedure. Soft colors are implanted in and between the base of the eyelashes to create the appearance of thicker lashes. Additional shadowing of color can be added for a soft natural “smudged” look for a fresh-faced appearance. A bolder more dramatic look can be achieved with deeper and more defined color. The pigment is applied by hand to the base of each individual eyelash using a tiny configuration of needles to achieve pinpoint accuracy. The shape of the eye can be slightly modified depending on the thickness of the eyeliner. Adding more color to the upper eyelid from the mid-pupil point to the outer aspect makes the eyes look larger and slightly elongates the appearance of the eye. Ophthalmologists recommend permanent eyeliner for their patients who are allergic to conventional makeup or who wear contact lenses.
Permanent eyeliner framing long, lush lashes creates eyes that demand a second look! Add a little Botox® to minimize crows feet and you can take years off your appearance.
Lip Liner/Full Lip Color
Permanent lip color gives beautiful results. It can appear to change the size and shape of the lips as well as the color. A soft, less defined look is achieved using light pink or rose tones, similar to the lip color of a child. A deeper color can be achieved for those who prefer a more dramatic look. The color can be implanted only as a lip line to define the margins of the mouth or through the entire lip for a “lipstick” effect. The choice of color is a collaborative effort influenced by the color and undertones of the lips, skin tones and undertones, and the desired finished color. Permanent lip color eliminates the problem of lipstick “bleeding” into the fine lines around the mouth. In the office of Dr. Stefanacci, Maureen Barrett, RN frequently combines procedures for truly remarkable results.

Look your best, day and night, permanently!
