Q: What is the Polaris LV?

Q: What can I expect from Polaris LV treatments?

A: The Polaris LV can improve unsightly leg veins and other unwanted vascular lesions. Spider veins and larger blue-green vessels on legs will gradually fade and can be treated until patient satisfaction has been reached. Facial spider veins can also be treated with the Polaris LV.

Q: How many treatments are required?

A: Most patients will have between 1-3 treatments. Some vessels may require more than 3 treatment sessions.

Q: How often are treatments done?

A: Treatment sessions are typically 6-8 weeks apart. Smaller spider veins may be treated every 4 weeks.

Q: How long do treatments take?

A: Each treatment session typically takes between 20 – 45 minutes.

Q: Does treatment hurt?

A: The sensation may be described as a “hot pinch”, like someone snapping an elastic band on your skin. Patients tolerate treatment well by use of either cooling the skin during treatment and/or use of a topical anesthetic cream that numbs the skin.

Q: Who should be treated with the Polaris LV?

A: Anyone with unwanted leg veins or vascular lesions may be a candidate for treatment with the Polaris LV. Removal of vascular lesions and veins with ELOS technology (laser and radio frequency) is a safe and effective alternative for patients who want non-invasive approach to vascular treatment. The Polaris LV is the clear choice for patients who do not like needles or who have had adverse reactions to solutions that are injected into the vein during Sclerotherapy.
